Legalism refers to the strict adherence to the law or a set of rules, often to the point of being overly rigid or inflexible. In the Christian faith, we are saved by grace and given freedom. Yet as time goes on, we can fall into this legalism where it's not just grace but grace plus more. Paul addresses this to the church in Galatia and even stands up to one of the great disciples.
